Benefits of a Paid BGS Membership

        • BGS members have a wide range of experience, from beginner to advanced, but they all have a love of genealogy in common.
        • Join BGS and make genealogy friends AND have lots of fun!
        • Members help support genealogy activities in Central Oregon and beyond.
        • BGS truly appreciates the support of its member and offers special benefits to them.

Membership Cost:  $25/year for 1 individual  -or-  Family, $35/year for 2 individuals

Membership List

Our membership list (available on the Members Only pages) has fields for Surnames and Locations that the member is interested in. You may find a genealogy buddy who faces some of the same research challenges that you do. Or maybe you will find a distant cousin!

Event Discounts

Members receive discounts for BGS events that have a substantial fee.


Recorded Videos

Some speakers allow us to offer the recorded video of their presentation for members only for a limited time. Find them on the members only pages.

Educational Meetings

Members can attend an unlimited number of monthly meetings, workshops and interests groups  on Zoom or in-person for FREE.


Checkout Library Books

BGS members can checkout books from our Genealogical Library to read and study them at home for three weeks at a time.
